Another Busy Week

Lots of activity on the gig front this week. Wednesday saw THE BITTER SPRINGS play a support slot with SPEARMINT at The Islington Pub in Islington,London. SPEARMINT had a indie hit with "Sweeping The Nation."

I also got to meet Paul Wellers' bass player as Andy Lewis is the bass player for Spearmint.

THE BITTER SPRINGS went down well as a good crowd turned up . Lots of familiar faces in the crowd. And felt like a good gig in the end. The trio of new "Love" songs which are going to be recorded soon got an air. "Until Love Does Not Exist, Less Than Love and Love Rat."

Thursday was another go at an open mic gig. Back again at Henrys' Kitchen in Hampton Court for Open Mic #5. Only played two songs this time. "Every Step Of The Way" and "Moving To The Country" which is becoming a favourite.

Saturday was a  Serious Chord Squad gig over in Bracknell at The Royal Oak. We played a blinder but it was really hard crowd to win over. They did dance at the end but by then it was too late and it was time to pack up.

Sunday was a trip over to Kempton Park for THE SOUTH OF ENGLAND GUITAR SHOW. There were quite a few stands there and lots of nice guitars but not so many LEFT HANDED ONES!! I was on the lookout for one of those soft gig bags as my present one has a big hole in it and needs to be replaced. Couldn't find one though. Went to the live music venue and saw JOHN VERITY who used to be a guitarist in ARGENT in the 70's. He performs a melodic blues sort of thing - reminded me of GARY MOORE.

No gigs until the end of November when SERIOUS CHORD SQUAD have a gig in ASCOT on 25th November.
